When my boyfriend and I first bought our Samsung HDTV, we were also given a Playstation 3 at a discount. However when the salesman told us that we should consider purchasing an HDMI Cable for hooking the console up to our TV, we took a look at what he had to recommend.
The Monster Cable Ultra Series 600 4' HDMI AV Cable was whet he had recommended. I looked at him like he was nuts when he told us the price! $79.99 for a 4 foot cable that does what exactly?
Oh it improves picture quality, blah blah blah. We didn't quite believe him, but we went ahead and bought the cable anyway. We figured if it didn't do squat, we would simply return it.
He also told us that if we planned on setting up an HDCable Box, we should consider another Monster Cable Ultra Series 600 4' HDMI AV Cable.
I didn't buy into that, I figured if it worked well with the console, we'd consider another cable. At $79.99 each, it's not something you want to rush out to purchase... or is it?
Before setting up the HDMI cable to the console, we sed the componet cables that came with the system. The picture quality was flawless using the componenet, and we truly did not think that the Monster HDMI would improve the quality..... boy were we wrong!
The Monster Cable Ultra Series 600 4' HDMI AV Cable improved the picture quality like crazy. We truly didn't think it would, but in all honesty it was well worth the $79.99 we spent on it.
We headed back a few days later to pick up another one for an HD Cable Box. Another $79.99 well spent.
All in all the Monster Cable Ultra Series 600 4' HDMI AV Cable truly imporves picture quality by nearly 20%. Deatils are sharper, and picture is flawless!!!
Now some will argue that a cheap HDMI cable can do the same dang thing. Well talk to my brother about using a cheap HDMI Cable. He purchased one for only $30.00, and ended up returining it because it actually made the picture worse than before. He too went out to get a more exclusive Monster Cable. Well worth it, don't settle for less.
Your HDTV came to how much money? I imagine a lot! Why settle for a cheaper quality HDMI Cable?!
$79.99 sounds like a bit too much for a cable... :-o
Never heard of this brand but it is indeed a good and awesome brand.
We love our Monster cables, but boy are they expensive! Thanks for sharing!
A salesman at Best Buy told me I had to buy one of these cables for my DVD player and my jaw hit the floor when he said how much it was... maybe I should go back and buy it.
As an engineer, I find it baffling how this could be the case. It's a digital signal. Ones and zeros. The pipe the numbers travel down can't possibly make a difference...the only thing that should matter is if the signal doesn't reach your set at all. I really can't see how this cable could help. Are you sure you're not justifying the high price you paid?
