Marley & Me
The full title of this book is "Marley & Me Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog". My former sister in law insisted I read it. She's one of the many friends and family members who are dog lovers. She wanted me to read it so much, that she mailed me her hard cover copy to be sure I would!
Marley is a overactive, lovable yellow lab, who ends up living with a young married couple. They decide owning a dog would give them a taste of parenthood and test their nurturing skills. But they never dreamed what this dog would put them through over the coming years!
Marley starts out as a normal pup, but grows into a naughty, hyperactive, (yet still lovable) dog! Over the years, he proved to be a challenge for his owners! At one time Marley was kicked out of obedience school, ate 14K gold jewelry, and came very close to being removed from the home!
The book chronicles the lives of Marley and his family, as they grow through the years. Dog lovers... listen-up! You will love this book. You'll laugh, and you'll cry, but I guaranty you'll find this book unforgettable.
FYI: "Marley & Me" the movie, will be released in December of 2008, starring Jennifer Aniston, and Owen Wilson.

This sounds like a great summer read! Having had dogs all my life, I am looking forward to grabbing this one. Thank you for the heads up on the movie coming out.
This book is fabulous. The movie didn't do it justice.
