My trip to London was one of the best and most memorable trips I have taken. I went there for about 10 days, which had allowed me to see some of the major attractions of the British capital city without rushing. London has so much to offer. Historical sights, tours, museums, parks, theaters, restaurants, all kinds of shops and stores - there is something for everyone.

I stayed at a small hotel close to the Marble Arch, a very convenient location from where I could easily get to most London attractions. London is a large city and it may seem a little confusing at first, but it has an excellent public transportation system that makes getting around fun and easy. The famous two-story red buses will take you anywhere; there are also tour buses that drive around the city with a guide pointing out places of interest and telling their story. Then there is also the subway, but if you don't like having to navigate your way through the public transportation you can always catch a cab.

I visited the Tower of London, the Madame Tussaud's wax museum (excellent! I'll need to write a separate review of it!), the British Museum, and many other places, but what I had really fallen in love with were the parks. Hyde Park, Kensington Park - they are so beautiful, neat, and well-kept. I could spend hours walking there, admiring, and feeding squirrels. If you are not a fan of big city life, I would recommend escaping to the parks. However, you have to promise that you will at least see the Buckingham Palace first! :)
