Bank of America Online Banking secure and easy

As a Bank of America customer, I've used their Online Banking since it was introduced. The site has made some great improvements as time moved on, and I like how I can look up my financial portfolio with ease. I equally like how their bill paying system makes my life quick and painless (the system, not necessarily the bills).

Bank of America Online Banking is an effective tool for looking at your financial records and a nice complement to going to the bank. You can look up check registers, upcoming bills and all of your accounts on one easy screen.

However, maybe I'm using the word "easy" too often. I do have a major niggling problem with their password system.

The password system makes you feel secure and everything -- until you run afoul of it.

I forgot my password and was locked out of Bank of America's Online Banking after entering the wrong password a few times. I suppose this is an effective way to kick out hackers who might be putting in passwords at random looking for a bite, but since there are three password confirmation systems one must go through to get to your account, I thought that having a limit to the number of incorrect passwords entered was troublesome for someone like me who uses a big number of passwords as part of his daily life.

I had to go to the bank to fix the issue. For once, I wrote a password down (which is dumb if someone gets into your house, but...)

However, outside of that, Bank of America's Online Banking is surprisingly easy to use and many payments can be made at the click of a button. Easy!
