Casio Exilim EX-Z60: one hot little camera!

Share and Enjoy:

My friends, does your brick of a digital camera make you the laughingstock of your posse?  Tired of fumbling about with awkward, complicated controls?  No longer should you be forced to suffer poor picture quality and resolution.  I present to you... the Casio Exilim EX-Z60, the snazziest little digital camera around!

The Casio Exilim six megapixel camera is sturdy (I should know: I've accidentally dropped it on numerous occasions) and comes with lots of options for a casual photographer.  Since my memory is so terrible, I take it with me to every party, social function, or trip I go on.  I know I can rely on my camera to take stunning shots of whatever scene so that I can remember it, crystal clear, for eternity.

The controls are easy to handle and manipulate: you could pass this off to a stranger at Disneyworld and ask them to take a family photo and they'd be able to snap a perfect picture without trouble.  The display screen is HUGE (2.5 inches, LCD) so it's easy to see what you're working with.  One of my favorite features about this camera is the massive selection of "best shot" options:  From a menu, you can choose specific settings for any situation you are attempting to photograph, from Night Scenery to Portrait to Party Scenes to Sunsets.  They even have settings for fireworks and splashing water!  Each best shot setting automatically gets you the optimal setup for the picture you want to take, so unless you are super picky, you don't have to worry too much about adjusting the ISO or manipulating the other numerous options.   One of the best 'best-shots' is the anti-shake feature: if you're at a concert or dancing at a party, the last thing you want is a blurry photo of one of the most memorable nights of your life.  The anti-shake setting drastically cuts down on noise and blur, making it incredibly useful for the crazier images you know you are trying to capture :)  It also takes great macros!

Of course, if you are a professional, uber-awesome photographer, the Casio Exilim EX-Z60 probably isn't going to cut it for you.  The one downside to this fab little camera is that its outside photos, I must admit, tend to be better than shots taken inside (and before you ask, no, that isn't the photographer's fault:  I've heard other users talk about the same issue).  But with it's cute, compact shape and brushed aluminum frame that comes in three colors (mine's red!), it's impossible not to love.  My friend has an identical one, and she adores hers just as much as I do mine!  So if you're looking for a brand new digital camera with a lot of bang for its buck, I urge you to try out the Casio Exilim: you won't be disappointed!
