Sony DCR-HC28 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder

The Sony DCR-HC28 MiniDV Handycam Camcorder is our family's choice camcorder for recording all of our family events. We find that the extras in this camera are great and what really makes it. I find that the touch screen controls are the best, and when you scroll through all the extras you find the value of the camera. We use the digital effects often, along with some of the titles and writings that can be played with on this screen. I also utilize the steady option to reduce the amount of blur in the camera picture, and find it works very well. The picture quality is great outside or in well-lit rooms, however our only disappointment with this camera is the quality of the images in a poorly lit room. The camera has an optional light then can be plugged into the boot-we use it often and it really helps in poor lighting. However, this does drain the battery quite a bit. Overall, I personally find this camera to be a good bargain for the price and a good quality video that we transfer to DVD without difficulty.

  3. THIS is the camcorder I need:0) I am notorious for getting blurry pictures and movies. Thanks goodness for digital cameras so I don't print the ones that are blurry. This may be my answer to camcorders:0) I'll have to look for this in the stores. Thanks for the information!
