I really can't live with this

I have 2 modems at home, one is used and the other one kept as spare as the lightning simply loves to visit me and struck out my modem . I really hate it when the lightning struck on weekend or public holiday making me a cyber handicapped person.

The present modem I am using is Billion. Frankly speaking, I am not so fussy about brand name for modem. The most important thing is speed and reliability and this modem does that for 11 months without fail which I am very happy about. Until that evening( last week)  lightning struck it out. As a person who lives her life around the cyber world, a day without internet is a terrible day indeed. Hence,  I am usually very careful to unplug every connection in the house before I go to work everyday but still the lightning comes a visiting to my house.

Luckily this modem comes with a year warranty and I got it replaced without a second question asked . From now on I have to make sure that the telephone line connected to the ADSL port of the modem should be unplugged too in order to prevent the lightning from coming in through the phone line.......another lesson learned .

Overall this is a good modem that comes with a year warranty. fast,  reliable , play and play device and easy to set up too provided we rememebr our password and user name with our service provider. ( That is why you see a piece of paper sticking onto my modem to help me to remember just that) . I think that is all we look for in a modem , right?
