Nikon Coolpix L18

In May, I purchased the Nikon Coolpix camera in navy blue. I was looking for an inexpensive digital camera to take on a trip to Mexico. I wanted some good quality pictures, but an easy to use camera. I found all this with the Coolpix. The camera has 8 megapixels and a 3x optical plus 4x digital zoom for a total 12x zoom. It still takes a nice clear picture when you use the zoom. It also has a large, 3 inch LCD monitor for viewing what you want to photograph. I love this feature because it is nice and big and clear. No squinting to see what your going to take a picture of! Another thing I love about the Coolpix is that is has a scene selection menu. This is where you have the option of choosing your environmental condition, to get the best quality picture possible. For instance, if you are at the beach, you can choose the beach/snow setting. There are also options for indoors, sunset, dusk, sports etc. It makes taking pictures a no brainer. The camera uses two AA batteries and a standard SD card, which you can buy separately. For the price, I think this is a great camera. Easy to use, crisp, clear photos- what else can you ask for?
