Angel Glockenspiels are fun musical instruments. I had to take a couple of music classes where I had to learn how to read music and play glockenspiels and recorders. So I bought an inexpensive glockenspiel in hopes it would help me learn music a little easier.
This one looks more like a young person's musical instrument but can be used by anyone and was marketed as being for any beginner. It comes in an aqua case. In side is 2 yellow plastic mallets. The 25 keys are metal and include both flats and sharps. The keys are labeled as to what key they are and they go from G to G.
It has 3 one inch long legs on the bottom and supposedly the sound changes depending on whether the legs are extended or closed but I can not tell a difference. lol
Overall, this was helpful because it made learning a little more fun.
I actually played one in High School Band. There weren't many notes, but they just wanted someone who could read music.
Do you use this at school where you teach? This really is a great starter glockenspiel!
No I leave the music up to the music teacher no since embarassing myself LOL. I use music but its basically in the form of letting them listen to a cd and dance around to it.
I am not familiar with this instrument, but it sounds interesting!
I just recently had an unresolved conversation regarding this little gem. A friend and I coldn't recall just what the heck is was(we're both a couple of decades out of high school), now I have a T-day topper to bring to the table! Thanks. Good write.
That should have been no sense in embarrassing and I wrote "no since" LOL
