Brew n' Go!

Share and Enjoy:

I wanted to be able to make my own coffee in the morning so I could take it with me on my commute to work. I knew I needed a coffee maker but I really had no idea all of the different kinds available! I spent about 40 minutes looking at the different kinds in WalMart before finally settling on the Black & Decker Home Brew N' Go. This is why I chose it:

It comes with a 15 oz stainless steele travel coffee mug that fits right into the bottom of the brewer to catch the coffee. In the mornings if fill the reuseable filter (no need to buy any filters - another bonus!) with the coffee du jour, add the water and place the stainless steele travel mug in the bottom. With one flick of the switch I can go and get dressed while the coffee brews in about 5-10 minutes. If I feel like tea instead, I just add my tea bag, milk and sugar to the stainless steele mug and water in the brewer, flick the switch and go get ready. I get a nice steeped tea as well!

Now for the product specs: There is a one-piece water reservoir and brew basket cover. The Water reservoir holds enough water to fill your 15 oz mug. There is a removable brew basket with permanent filter inside - no need to buy filters, ever! The red 'On' indicator light lets you know it's brewing. The Travel Mug, Brew Basket and Permanent Filter are also replaceable by contacting Black & Decker.

Cleaning this coffee maker takes less than 5 minutes. All you need to do is remove the brew basket and filter, wash them, dry them and place them back into the brewer.

Buying this coffee maker meant that I'd be able make my own coffee or tea to take on my morning commute (instead of waiting in the long lines at Tim Horton's!). If that's what you're looking for, get the Brew N' Go!

  1. This sounds like it would be perfect for my mom, who lives alone. Does it tell you what amount of coffee to use? We always have trouble finding the right amount!

    1. Yes, you put in about 2 and a half tablespoons to get 15 oz of coffee.
