I hate hair spray or anything that stinks or makes my hair feel less than soft and natural. But at the salon where I get my highlights done, the head designer told me a good root lifting spray could really help revive or accent a tired styling. And he recommended Big Sexy as a very good product.
What you do is lift the areas you want some fullness or height added, and spray Big Sexy at the root line of the hair and allow it to set for about 20 seconds. Then style as usual. There is no noticeable scent to Big Sexy that I can detect, which is a positive for me. It also brushes out easily leaving your hair still feeling clean soft and natural.
The can, which is an eye popping red with the Big Sexy logo splashed across it, is huge. In fact this is the biggest gripe I have about Big Sexy hairspray. It is so big and so heavy I have trouble lifting it high enough, or holding it long enough to get it where I need it. This is absurd and it needs changing. I don't need something that big and heavy in the first place due to limitations caused by lupus. So I ended up giving my can away, because I simply couldn't use it on my own.
But if you're into non scented, effective hair styling aids, and don't have a problem lifting King Kong sized cans of spray, give Big Sexy a try.

I think my daughter would like this! She is 16 and uses hair spray...alot of HAIRSPRAY...I wonder if I can find it in town....
If you have Penney's in town up in Yuba, and there's a Penney's salon, try there. Otherwise you can find it online for some very good prices.
Funny I think my daughter would like this too. Shes 16 too. And uses alot of hairspray too. lol
I have, I love, I use this spray!! I love the hold but it doesn't feel stiff at all!
I just found their root lifting mousse here online in what looks like a lighter smaller can. I'm going to try it because I DO like their products.
I want this for myself .I rarely uses hair spray but this sure sounds worth trying.thanks
I use hairspray every day and this is one I have tried before. I agree the cans are just way too big! I guess the design catches your eye and that might be the reason for super sizing it! I have a smaller travel size can that would be perfect for you. I got it in a set at the salon. I wonder if they could get you a smaller size ...special order?
I think I'll try the root lifting mousse. It says it really helps lift and hold the style without stickiness or weight. The can is MUCH smaller and lighter too. I'm going to check a place called MasterCuts in the mall, because they have alot of 2 fors in there. Maybe I'll get lucky and get the mousse plus a trial sized hair spray.
Bad customer service, they insist I mail the old back to get replacement for a new can that will not spray. They won't submit a UPS call tag, which means they expect me to go out and pay for the mailing of the BAD product. I would have gladly waited for a call tag to return the product and then they could have shipped my replacement ater receipt of the DEFECTIVE Sexy Hair Mousse
