On our way to Virginia City, we stopped by the Chocolate Nugget Candy Factory. (The main store is on Hwy 395 to Reno). Our grandkids really like candy and chocolate is always a favorite.
The store is built like a cabin. There are wooden miners sitting at tables. We had some fun looking at the outside of the store. It sits in the middle of the desert--not desert landscaping, but real desert. Inside the store smells of chocolate, peanut brittle, a salt take. Most if not all of the candy in here is has been handmade. In the other store, you can watch them make the candy. But, in this smaller store, the place was filled with bins.
I picked up some chocolate panned blueberries. Ummm. It was almost a religious experience eating those chocolate covered blueberries. I have bought the blue chocolate covered blueberries that you can buy at the grocery store. However, they do not have the same great taste. Even my husband said that the blueberries that I bought at the Chocolate Nugget Candy Factory was really really good.
Yum. Their motto? "The Richest Chocolate in the West."

These sound absolutely sinful, but a necessary fruit, right?
Oh yes... I love those blueberries and with chocolate... I could eat them all day... and gain weight on it of course. LOL
