This trampoline was bought about 5 years ago at Wal-Mart and I cannot remember the exact price, but it seems it was less than $200.00, we had bought the safety net enclosure as well separately.
It is the 15' round trampoline and to this day, my kids still get on it and enjoy it just as much as the day we put it up for them.
The safety net came down after the first year, we had issues with the zipper and the nylon belts that held the netting to the top frame kept slipping and coming lose. After two years the padding around the springs started to crack and tear, but you really have to expect that in something that is out in the direct weather year round. We did use tape to repair the tears for awhile before replacing it altogether.
The springs have held up wonderfully! I think there is a 300 pound weight limit on them, but both of my sons give it a good workout and they are in perfect shape to this day.
The trampoline material itself, it still looks brand new! In all honesty I did not expect it to hold up this well or as long as it has but it has been an awesome investment and it gets the kids outside and away from the TV's and computers.
The frame itself I believe is a heavy aluminum and we move it each time we mow and has been moved to our new house and there are no dents or bends.
The most important thing is teaching your children about safety. Mine were told the first time they horse played it was gone and it is still here ;) .As long as they are taught safety and respect it, it is a great way to get exercise and allow them to burn off excess energies.
There was a place when I was growing up where you could go rent time on in the ground trampolines. I had so much fun jumping and turning flips all over the place. They were rectangular though and no safety covering over the edges. For the years of enjoyment your family has received, $200 was a bargain! I always thought the safety nets would get more in the way than really helping with safety, but then, I've never used one.
That was our thoughts on the nets as well, so as soon as we knew they would not get out of hand they went down. I never heard of renting time on one, that is awesome! I know they love it, especially my youngest, my husband even gets on it from time to time,LOL!!
Wwe had bought the net also and after a year it got completely ruined from being outside.
I use to love getting on these things. I'd probably get sick on one now. I was always paranoid about bouncing off.
I remember renting ground trampolines too just like rogue stated above. Wonder if it was in Illinois? Anyways, these are a great way for the kids to have fun and tire themselves out. What a great idea for the backyard. My grandkids have one but since they are still pretty young, they have to have the safety net up. They do take theirs down and store it for the winter. Might makes these last a bit longer if they are only left outside during the summer months.
These are fun ,but they can also be dangerous.. Play safe.
We sell tramps at kmart, alot more expencive then this one, usually more then 300 easy. so nice buy
This looks like so much fun! I'm afraid I would jump so high that I would jump off the thing!!
These are the best form of fun and exercise for kids and adults alike, although I admit I won't bounce very high.
i never have a brave to play trampoline
Was just givin one of these for the grandchildren.
After i deal with the bug infestation, I'll get one of these for the yard!
