Harry Potter School Books, Fun For Your Collection
A couple years ago, I decided that I was going to collect all the Harry Potter books, in Hardcover, so that my children could have a nice complete set, when they got older. Then, J.K. Rowling came up with this idea to create two schoolbooks ("belonging" to Hogwarts students), to sell with proceeds going to charity.
This was a wonderful idea! One of the books is a book on Quidditch, called "Quidditch Through the Ages". The other is a book on the magical creatures found within the Harry Potter novels, called "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
I wasn't big on the Quidditch book, though I did thoroughly enjoy the magical creatures book. But, if you're into the Quidditch aspect of the stories, you'll love the other book as well.
They aren't as long as I'd like. They're rather thin, and I would have loved to know more about her interpretations of various magical beasts. But, they are a lot of fun, and the perfect addition to any Harry Potter library! They even have "notes" written in the margins, and other such details to make them seem truly as though they belong to a Hogwarts student.
