Pooh's Heffalump Movie - Oh So Cute!
This is a wonderfully adorable movie! It stars, of course, the usual gang from the lovable Winnie the Pooh series. And, it introduces the Heffalumps (who live in a different part of the wood).
I give it high marks on educational value because it gently pushes the message to accept those who may seem different. And, I believe that that is a very important thing for children to learn. On a more biased note, my eldest daughter (who has a problem with processing language, and may be dyslexic) uttered her very first full sentence, directly from this movie.
"Lumpy" the heffalump is adorable, and the DVD has some great special features (including, which I liked, a recipe for "rumple doodles" which are a kind of cookie that Lumpy mentions is a favorite for heffalumps).
The story line is adorable, and I do love that message, the moral of the story so to speak. But, the most entertaining part for me is that Tigger delivers a couple of lines that are so incredibly funny, I have to wonder how the guy who did his voice managed to get through them without busting a gut!
