Sheraton South Padre Island Texas
If you are looking for a place to stay when visiting South Padre Island Texas, I suggest the Sheraton South Padre. This is a great hotel/condo spot and in my opinion is the absolute best place to stay on the island. Located directly across from the Port Isabelle Causeway Bridge, the hotel is located gulf side and many rooms offer partial or full ocean views. The rooms are your standard hotel rooms but its location and amenities make it worth the price. The condos boast a fully functional kitchen, living room with Sofa Bed, Master bedroom with it's own bathroom, and second bedroom with 2 bedrooms and it's own bathroom. It also features a nice sized outdoor space, so if you have one of those ocean views, it is perfect to sit out on and enjoy the lull of the ocean. The rooms are bright and spacious.
The hotel also features 2 separate eateries. An indoor restaurant and an outdoor pool side grill offering some the largest and tastiest grilled chicken sandwiches you can find anywhere. There is a also an indoor bar and a poolside, swim up bar. Speaking of the pool area. This is by far the biggest and best pool area on the entire island, complete with tons of lounge chairs, a HUGE pool, water volleyball, a good sized hot tub and that swim up bar. When you need a break from the ocean, coming to the pool is a great alternative and extremely relaxing time!
The Sheraton is in the quietest section of beach, but does offer beach volleyball closer to the hotel, then you have a HUGE beach front area, and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico!
Overall, this hotel really is the best stay on South Padre Island. It is a little bit pricey, with rates running from about $150 to almost $700, but it is well worth it for the best place!

I want to go there. We have always talked about it. But I'd have to win the lotto, or stay in the cheapy rooms. $700.00 rooms, have to be for people with more money than since.
