As a child, I would go to Disneyland every three or four months. I remember taking trips with church and Girl Scouts. As I got older, the trips would dwindle to about 2 or 3 times a year. This summer, I got the opportunity to take a trip back to California. I made several stops, one of those being Disneyland. Even though it was very crowded and hot, I had a blast. Disneyland has many attractions for both adults and especially children.
All of the attractions that I remember as a child are still there but they have made it even better by adding new attractions and improving the old ones. For instance, one of the newer attractions is Buzz Light Year. I took my four year old nephew on it and even as an adult, I had a lot of fun shooting at the different targets trying to get the hightest score. Of course he beat me, but none the less it was great. Another attraction that they actually improved was the Pirates of the Carribean. I remember it used to be based soley of just pirates but they have reconstructed most of the ride to reflect the actual moving Pirates of the Caribean and adding most of the charaters from the movie.
Disneyland is a little on the expensive side ($69 for one amusment park and $215 for both amusement parks). You can either chose to go to California Disney or Disneyland and if you want to pay the money you can go to both parks. Thats the cool part. They offer you a variety of parks and rides depending on your style.
For being a themepark, I thought the food would be horrible. Boy was I wrong! We ate at a pizza place in Tomorrowland and the food was almost better than the local pizza place here at home. The extra goodies like cotton candy, popcorn, churros, and frozen lemonade was even better and at a resonable price.
I reccomend that if you are going to California, stop and take the kids. I can guarantee that the park will keep them busy and you will have a blast as well.

Sounds like fun! Thanks for sharing. ;)
Have never been here even though I've been to California more than a few times. One of these days...sounds like a great place!
