Install Cabinet door hardware like a pro
When we installed our cabinets we needed to attach the door handles, and the cabinets do not come with pre-drilled holes, you have to do that yourself. To make the job easier we bought the Liberty Hardware door template at Menard's.
This guide makes the job of getting hardware knobs and handles mounted evenly on every cabinet a breeze. I have tried doing this task with a measuring tape before and believe me, it's time consuming and not as accurate as this guide.
The guide is made of plastic with two edges that you hold tightly up against the side and bottom of the edge of the cabinet door. On the guide are several holes that you can use to put the knobs and handles in the position you desire. You just mark the placement with a sharp pencil. Mark the rest of the cabinets using the same holes and you can be sure they are aligned exactly right when you go to drill the holes.
For only $3.99, this tool is worth 10 times that much in time saving and frustration!
