Apple Remote - Simple, Useful, Harmonious
The Apple remote is small... It is the length of 3 quarters end to end, the thickness of about 3 stacked quarters and about the width of a quarter. Very small... Small enough to pop into my pocket.
It also kind of looks like it is dressed to impress with its the tuxedo like appearance of a white body with a black strip at the top. Very crisp.
I have had remotes for computers in the past and not used them... but this one works out really well for me when watching a movie on my iMac.
The remote has a menu button, play/pause button and a ring around the play/pause button that controls up and down adjustments in volume as well as rewind and fast forward. These simple functions are just enough to do what I want, easily.
While this remote works most awesomely with my iMac, it is also most harmonious, working with most generations of all iPods, with the exception of the Shuffle. How cool is that?
This Apple Remote uses a CR 2032 battery and works using infrared.

I totally neglected to mention that this works with macbooks as well. I know that a lot of remotes today do just about everything... wash the car, take out the dog... but sometimes less is better... Thanks for the comment!
