Samsung BlackJack II PDA/Smartphone
The Samsung BlackJack II is a PDA/Smartphone. I bought it because I wanted to be able to transfer files (like Microsoft Word documents) from my phone to my computer and to check my email. When I travel for work, it is really helpful to be able to do these things.
I have generally had good experiences with Samsung phones. For years, I was a Verizon customer. I recently switched to AT&T when I bought this phone. I got a $100 rebate on the phone, which made me like it more! To be able to transfer documents and use the PDA/Smartphone features to the fullest, you'll have to pay extra for some sort of data plan. The battery holds a charge pretty well even when I use the data features a lot.
The "red" color isn't a bright or vibrant shade, but more of a maroon color. The color is ok, but for a cell phone, I wanted something flashier. The phone itself is much smaller than I thought it would be. The buttons on the keyboard are also much smaller than I expected. It makes it pretty hard to type. I wanted a keyboard with a little more ease of use and functionality (otherwise, I could've just used a regular cell phone).
I was used to a flip phone, so it is hard to get used to having to "lock" the phone so numbers don't randomly and accidentally get dialed. However, the phone works well. I've even dropped it a few times and it hasn't broken. I'm not sure how great the antenna is because the reception isn't always fantastic even in areas with lots of cell phone towers.
Overall, I do like this phone, but it's not one of my favorite Samsung cell phone products. It is still worth having, but I prefer their flip phones.

Sounds like a decent phone for some things, I am a terrible text person, takes me for ever sometimes so prefer the ones I can use 1 handed - I have a Nokia right now that works well for that but my best was my Blackberry Rim - loved that one! :) Thanks for the info
