Las Vegas travel
I would travel to Vegas all the time and everytime I go I had a good time. It's great here. You can always find something to do or some place to eat. The food is the best thing about Vegas. I love all the buffet here. It's great.
I usually go in the winter or during good weather. You never want to go to Vegas when it's summer time because it can get as hot as 130 degree. You'll sweat a river. I don't recomended. Plus, it's not that crowded during the summer time because no body want to travel during the summer. It's way too hot here.
I think that you can rent a low profile hotel so that the rate can be lowered. Some high profile casino like the Venetians have a $300 a night rate and it's not something that is good for anyone.

Virginia Aquarium Marine Science Center
We have a trip in mind for this area - we were suppose to take a trip this summer while my youngest was doing some studies on the desert in the area but hubby's business was far too busy so we'll have to schedule it another time. I'd not mind the heat as it's a dry heat so it would feel less hot for me. It was 110 in California one year and it felt no hotter than low 80's to me :) Thanks for the info and warning though
