Magic the Gathering has been around since 1993 and has evolved into having a virtual game as well. The rules and play mechanics are the same. But instead of paper copies, you use digitized version of cards. The digital version is now in version 3.
Alas with so much hype given to version 3, Wizards of the Coast as usual failed to live up to its promises. Version 3 is full of bugs and also has a lot of errors. Furthermore, the interface isn't very userfriendly and has very small graphics. Improvements that were needed like increasing trading from the limit of 32 cards has not been done.
The advantage of the digital version however, is that cards don't get damaged and collections are easily managed. Also current sets are redeemable for their cardboard counterparts. The cards are also cheaper than their cardboard counterparts.

I really like this game. I learned how to play from my boyfriend.
