Huggies Overnights

My son is a heavy wetter at night, and was constantly waking up soaked and chilled in his old diapers. I saw a commercial for Huggies Overnights, and even though I can't stand regular Huggies diapers, I decided it couldn't hurt to try these. Huggies has redemed themselves! Since starting with the diapers, just at night, my son hasn't woken up soaked, or even wet, once!

These are basically like any other diaper, but more absorbent. They also have an elastic gathered back, to allow a better fit. The back tabs do not really stretch like daytime diapers, but they are long enough to reach around to the front and give baby a snug fit around the waist. This helps keep the moisture in the diaper, rather than all over your baby.

I was concerned about the fact they are more absorbant, and therefore more likely to leave the absorbant gel residue all over baby. I'm sure you Mom (& Dads) know what I'm talking about- that gooey stuff that some diapers tend to leave behind after a really wet nighttime diaper. Huggies Overnight hasn't had this problem at all. In fact, you can tell the diaper it wet by the weight, but to the touch, it will feels relatively dry, even after a good soaking.

It is a pain to have two diapers, one for daytime and one for nighttime, and these diapers are fairly expensive. But knowing that my son is sleeping comfortably and dry, instead of soaked and chilled, is well worth the hassle and price!
