Vtech Cordless Phone System w/Answering Machine

This is my third phone purchase this year!  But I think I FINALLY bought the phone that has/does everything I need!

Here is what I wanted my phone w/answering machine to do:

Have good clarity.

Have good range/distance from the base (and not cut off my call when I walk into another room!).

No interference with my wireless router.

Be able to pick up another handset included with the phone system, and immediately be part of the conversation, without the task of ‘transferring' the call to be connected with that handset.  (This is one of my pet peeves with phone systems that come with multiple handsets.)

Nice choice of ringtones.

And my most sought-after feature--- audible message alert tone.

I found all of these features and more, with my new Vtech cordless DECT 6.0 phone with answering machine.   It includes 3 phones; one phone sits on the base (answering machine), and the other two phones have their own charging base, but do not need to connect to a phone jack.  Every phone works from the main base.

I mentioned above that you do not need to transfer a call to another handset in order for another person to pick up an outside call.  However, there are transferring features that are used for more business-like settings.  Another nice feature is, you can call another handset inside the home.  So if my husband is working in the garage, I can ring his handset to tell him dinner is ready, or to ask him a question.

The answering machine is easy to set up.  An audible voice will guide you through the settings.  You can personalize your own outgoing message, or use the default recording that comes with the phone.

So as I said before, I finally found the phone I've been looking for, and now I'll never miss another message left on my machine---because I can HEAR the alert tone letting me know someone recorded a message. And if you have voicemail, there is light on the base that indicates you have a message, along with an animated envelope in the handset windows if you're not near the base.  Voicemail will not give an audible alert, that feature is only for the answering machine.  I actually use both.
