USAA has got Us Covered
We purchase our homeowner's insurance through USAA. USAA has been in business since 1922 when a small group of Army officers joined together to insure one another's vehicles. Now USAA serves millions of customers and grows bigger by the day.
USAA is a members only group. You must be in the military, National Guard, or Reserve, a child or spouse of military personnel, retired military, an officer candidate from a commissioned program, or a former member.
We have our autos and home insured through USAA. However, USAA offers much more than just insurance. They have over 150 services including banking, investment, and financial planning. We've tried and loved several of their services.
When you call USAA the representatives are courteous and friendly. They are knowledgeable about their business and directing you to the service you need to complete just about any transaction. USAA helped us prior to our home purchase by connecting us to a lender that could help us get a better fixed interest rate.
As I said, we have our home insured through USAA. We decided to employ USAA because they offered us the best premium, allow premium payments through our escrow, and we already have auto coverage with them.
Both my husband's father and my father were military. They chose USAA and now we do to. USAA is like family to us, they've been covering us since we were kids.
We have never had to make a claim, but if we need them we know USAA will be there.
