Winster-Actually win prizes!
Winster is a great place to actually get something for playing games! The games include a slots game, word game, suduko, a "burger" game, poker, and a few others you can play to score points that you use to get prizes. The prizes include movie passes, gift certificates to restaurants or Amazon.com or assorted other things. They change periodically, so keep an eye on them! This site is completely free and you DO actually get the prizes.
To start, you are given 200 spins every day. You try to make the most points off your 200 spins along with 5 other people in the room you choose. If you spin 5 times and get 4 cherries and a grapes, someone on your room may want that last grapes in return for a cherries-you trade pieces and each get more points. The basic way you play the game is you help each other get as many points as possible so you can each earn your selected prize.
Here's the catch-they need to make money somehow, right?? There are 10 second ad spots that interrupt your game periodically. No big deal. It's still free stuff. If you want, however, you can pay a few bucks every month to get a better subscription-you get more spins and more points so you collect and win your prize faster. Either way you still get your prize.
It takes a ;little getting used to, and the games aren't very high-tech, but it's very addicting and overall it's pretty fun!! I suggest going and checking out the free version to see what you think, then if you really like it, either keep playing for free or get the subscription and earn points faster. What used to be 10 seconds has been bumped up to 40 seconds with even more ads. There are also a lot of bugs on the site. They have also reduced points earned by games while increasing points required for prizes. Multiple reports of people being cut off when they attempted to get prize. While they advertise 'free'
I was playing in winster for a while now and i started through mypoints. I met some really nice people and even know 9.99 a month for a site that lags really bad i was willing to join. I used paypal and it messed up and used my echeck. I called winster and spoke to a very very rude person. she told me I would have my gold on June 1st. My check was cashed and I called today and got the same rude person! She argued with me like crazy and was rude as all get out! I asked to speak to someone else and she said NO! I was told she was only one there. When I asked her name she refused to tell me! Then I pressed on for her name and she said its "Chris OK". She continued to be rude and I told her I worked in CS and in the middle of my sentence she hung up on me!! She had also put me on hold when I was talking and had come back and said as I was saying. I guess they have enough players and don't need my $120.00 per year. I looked at the BBB web site and they have a C- rating. I was buying the day passes for me and others. I even had friends that were going to join with me. I called pay-pal and got my money on its way back to me. I called and left a message on the CEO's line but no reply. It is a shame I was having fun. To all who see this play for free but don't send these people your money! Good luck all !
I agree I joined this thing almost two yrs ago.....I had basic....anyhow they messed up on my credit card, and when it was time to collect on the prize....got nothing and I had 50 dollars worth in points....so with the bad lags I finally quite.....I would not recommend this game to anyone, I believe they just like to rip off people........
Good review. In my experience, most people do get their prizes. I think playing it for free, like the reviewer said, is probably the safest route.
