CD Labels

Share and Enjoy:

I recently had to make some CD-ROMs for press packages. I wanted the CD-ROMs to have a professional look and feel to them. Not the sharpie writing scribbled across the top of a CD-R. I went to Walmart and found the Avery CD Labels. There are 20 CD faces and 40 spine labels in the package and can be printed from any ink jet home printer. The package also includes a website that you can go to a download templates to help with your design. The site even has online software you can use to create your label online and print from the site. I use photoshop to make my laels but I did check out the available options online just to see what they had. After I designed my label I put the blank labels in my printer (there are arrows on the pages to help with direction) and printed them out. The labels looked Wonderful. I was very impressed with the quality that was printed. I had two photos on my labels and Iw as concerned with how well the paper quality of the labels would print the photos and it did  a fantastic job on them. There were no lines as with regular printing paper. Applying the Labels was easy as well. You punch out a square piece around the label. The center of the label has no back to it so it is sticky on a little strip down the middle of the label. Put a Cd in a jewel CD case and line up the corners of the square punch out witht he corners of your CD caseing. Press the labe down onto your Cd in the middle then peel off the paper on either side and press the label down the rest of the way. It was easy as that and my CD-ROMs look perfect.

The paper that is used for the labels is thin enough that the CD-ROM drive on computers will not peel it off and the CD-ROM will not get stuck in computers.

If you want to make a great impretion or just want fancy labels for home made music CD I highly recomend the Avery CD Labels. The are easy to work with and apply and look fantastic when you are finished.
