Pots & Containers
This is a great book that I use to help me get ideas on putting together plants in containers, including window boxes, hanging baskets, and many different large and small containers. I have used this many times to help me put together a great display for around my yard and garden.
Not only does it show how to put the containers together, it shows how to use them in the landscape and how you can create outdoor rooms surrounded by plants. There are also ideas on using potted plants to frame a doorway or along steps and paths.
The book gives instruction on how to create a pleasing color scheme. There are ideas for every season, including winter. At the end of the book there are plant suggestions and descriptions that work well when putting together your containers. It has many suggestions that I would probably not have thought of myself, for example using evergreens for winter display.
I love the beautiful pictures in this book and very helpful information. It would be a great gift for any gardener.
