The Aquarium Fish Handbook - A Great Guide
This is a great guide to fresh and saltwater fish. If you have fish, or if you are just interested in looking up different types of fish, this book would be great. It is a hardback book with a spiral binding, and has great color photos of fish. The book is written by Dick Mills and Derek Lambert. It has a total of 256 pages, including an index and a glossary.
One thing I especially like about this book is that it uses symbols to identify ease of keeping, tank size required by fish, size of fish, temperature required for that particular fish, compatability with other fish and feeding. It makes the job of knowing what the fish would be like to keep very simple. The book also includes a short introduction, fish physiology, basic aquarium needs, availability and choice, health problems and how to use the book. But it is mainly a guide to help you stock your aquarium with the proper kinds of fish.
I found this book a great help when I was trying to find fish that would be compatible with other fish that I already had. It is a very useful book for that purpose, and the photos are great.
