ProAir HFA Albuterol Inhaler

Share and Enjoy:

ProAir HFA is the commercial name for albuterol sulfate. If you have ever had trouble with asthma, then you know what albuterol is and does. I’m not sure exactly what it does physiologically, but I just know that it helps me to breathe better when I’m having constricted airways.

I have only suffered from asthma a few times. It tends to happen to me after I’ve had a bad cold. It is scary to not be able to take a deep breath and albuterol helps clear things up so that you can.

I don’t like the way albuterol makes me feel, though. It causes me to feel jittery. But still, that is better than the alternative.

There are two ways that I know of to take albuterol One is in this little inhaler that is called the ProAir HFA. This is handy to carry in your purse or pocket in case of an unexpected asthma attack. The other way is more intense. You breathe it through a nebulizer which turns it to mist. This is actually called a breathing treatment and takes about ten minutes or so.

Asthma is no fun, but I’m glad to know there is something I can take that helps.
