Power up with Mario's Power Up energy drink

Being a busy college student I am naturally an energy drink lover. So when I seen this bright blue can with the famous Nintendo Mario on the front at my local Hastings and just had to have it. The can design is basic but super cute. While holding it I could almost hear somewhere in the background the classic Mario music. Surprisingly the flavor was not bad. The taste kind of reminded me of Tab energy drink. It is sweet but not overly so; at least I do not think so.

<u>LIKES:</u> The can design has Mario in a mid jump pose holding a mushroom on a solid blue background. I think the name "Power Up" suits this drink perfectly. Whoever thought to combine two of my favorite things- Mario and an energy drink, is a genius! I liked the taste, but my husband thought it was too sweet. I liked that on the back next to where Calories is written, immediately in parenthesis is "Energy", made me feel less guilty about all the high fructose corn syrup.

<u>Dislikes:</u> This drink can be hard to find! The price is a little much for an 8.4 fl. oz serving. The 110 calories ;( I do not think this drink really gave me anymore energy.

I think this drink would make a cute stocking stuffer for any Mario or energy drink fan.
