If you have a patio or trailer awning that flaps with the slightest breeze or has been damaged due to the wind, then you need to check into the Awning De-Flapper Max. This handy little item will protect and add years of life to your awning. I have nothing but good things to say about it.
The De-Flapper Max is a much improved version of the original which was very narrow and took up to 2 or 3 to do the job of one of these.
**First of all, this keeps the awning from flapping back and forth while you are sitting out and you fear it will take off with a strong gust of wind. It keeps your awning in place and prevents rips and tears to the awning material which is costly to replace.
**The De-Flapper Max goes around the tubular frame of your awning with a hook and loop fastener strap and then grasps the awning with a strong extra wide gripper which keeps the awning taught and straight so that the wind can't catch hold of it.
** The grippers will not damage the awning material. The De-Flapper is made of a very strong nylon and polymer straps, UV protected and will not rust. It is universal so it will fit any awning. If you have a very large cover I would suggest using more than one on each side.
**There's no assembly required, just open the package and you're set to go. We've definitely been very impressed and happy with these de-flappers. We keep our awning up and don't worry unless we know there's a big storm predicted. I would definitely recommend these to home owners and especially RV campers.

how cool, I never heard of this before. If I ever get an awning, I will look for these. What a great idea.
