The Devil Wears Prada DVD

This movie is based on the best-selling chick lit novel by Lauren Weisberger; and I can say the producers most certainly did the book justice.  Actors and actresses in "The Devil Wears Prada" include Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Simon Baker.  However, if anyone rules this movie it has to be Meryl Streep, followed closely by Anne Hathaway.

"The Devil Wears Prada" is about a young woman named Andrea looking to get into the magazine/newspaper world after she is fresh out of college.  She ends up at "Runway" magazine where being a normal size 6 woman makes her stick out like an orange in a basket full of apples.  She is surrounded by so many upty upty size 0 women and looked down upon because of her plain looks, especially by her boss Miranda. 

Miranda sends Andrea on pretty much any crazy request she can think of, including finding the "yet to be published" seventh Harry Potter novel.  Andrea takes them all in stride and accomplishes just about everything asked of her.  In the end Andrea has to decide what matters more to her: advancing in her career but losing touch with herself and her friends, or taking a different job for a less popular media outlet and remaining true to herself.  What does she decide to do?  You have to watch the movie to find out!

Overall I would definitely recommend this movie.  I am a big Anne Hathaway fan anyway so even before I saw the movie I knew I was going to love it.  This is definitely a great chick flick and after you are done watching it you just want to go shopping!  At least that's what it did to me!
