Beautiful Nickle finish Shower Fixture
Once you pick a metal finish for a bathroom you sometimes end up wishing you hadn't, as finding all the pieces you need turns out expensive or just impossible. In the "blue" bathroom I picked a brushed nickel, and I thought for sure I would be stuck somewhere along the line. The shower fixture needed to be reliable ( I just hate faucets that you can't get to deliver the same temperature water twice in a row ), low flow yet comfortable, and easy to maintain.
Price Pfister delivered all of that in the Ashfield collection, a style that matches the Victorian décor. I got the R89-808 model, as it was just for a shower ( you save money if you can find the shower-only kit and leave out the tub fill and drain ). The head is big ( over six inches in diameter ) yet conserves water. While there aren't any markings on the single lever handle, the temperature is very easy to set and repeat.
Cleaning is very easy, as it is coated, but as with all Price Pfister products, it was done very heavily, so the odds of messing up the finish are small. If you are going to get something you want to last for a long time, buy the best you can afford.
I really think I did exactly that, at least this time!
