I recently have had the privaledge to drive a Ford Ranger XLT (2007 model) around for the last month and a half. I though I would share my opinions on this truck. First of all the Ford Ranger XLT is a budget priced truck. My dad only paid around 15 thousand dollars for the truck new. It is hard to find any new vehicle under 20 thousand dollars. I get decent gas mileage out of the truck. My wife drives a Nissan Xterra and the mileage in the Ranger is much better. On the power department I find it a bit lacking. The truck has a 6 cylinder engine, but it does have to work to go up high hills. There are two seats in the back, but you would have to be very small to even fit in them. We couldn't even get our car seats in the back. If you have small kids, it might be a good idea to go with another vehicle. Overall, for the price it is a really decent truck. I have had a friend who only drove Ford Rangers and they are pretty reliable vehicles.

I personally have never been a fan of Ford trucks but I do appreciate you for sharing your opinons on this truck with us. It sounds like for the money it's a pretty good choice, if you don't have kids.
You're so right-under $20,000 for a truck is execellent!! Number one priority is fitting the car seats in the back seat & it's too bad the truck won't allow you to do that.

I've heard good things about Ford Rangers. Thanks for your opinion on this truck.
Great price but too bad about the room in the back. It probably would be a good starter truck for a young driver.

This sounds like just the right truck for certain people!
