An angel to watch over me
I don't think of myself as an angel collector, yet I recently realized that I have a lot of angels around my house. I am drawn to them and other people often send them to me. There is a feeling of calmness and serenity I feel when I look at them.
I saw this beautiful angel and loved it right away. I would have wanted to buy it anyway, but the price was just $2.99. At that price, I had to buy several! This was from the Christmas Tree Shop, a chain of stores in the Northeast where you never know what you will find, but you can almost always count on great prices.
I loaded up my cart with several of these angels. There were two different designs and I bought one for everyone I could think of that might like to have one and of course, a couple for myself. They made great gifts for special occasions or for no reason at all.
There is a light inside the angel which gives a lovely, soft glow in a dark room. However, the light doesn't have to be on to make it pretty, but it is prettier when lit. Standing 10" tall and 6" wide, it shows up nicely in any room. Made of porcelain, it looks a lot more expensive than what I paid. I love a bargain, especially when it's for something I truly enjoy having. Even better is when you give it as a gift and see it on display at someone else's home and you know you've given them a special gift too, no matter what the cost.
