Leap Frog: Talking words factory 2

My daughter can't stop watching the Leap Frog (DVD) Talking Words Factory 2; Code Word Caper.  She loves it.  And, it's helped improve her reading skills so much.  The intention of this Leap Frog DVD is to help young children (ages 3 to 6) learn basic words; word parts; word recognition; phonics and pronunciation.   And it lives up to the promise!  Filled with fun, animation and song, this DVD provides my daughter with hours of fun, educational entertainment that is a much better alternative to TV cartoons.  

Her favorite part of the video is when the characters learn about silent 'e' at the end of the word and sing about the vowel teams.  "When vowels go walking, the first one does the talking!"  And, then there's a funny scene where the cartoon vowel puts his finger to hips lips to illustrate that he is silent.  How clever is that!  Wish I'd had this growing up. 

My daughter has learned so much and her reading vocabulary has greatly benefited.  I've noticed that she has started using bigger words in her daily conversations and even initiating conversations.  She even sings more! That's a really big improvement.  I couldn't be happier with this DVD and would happily recommend it to any family with young children.

This delightful DVD educates in a fun way with cool cartoon characters that every child will love.  Unlike other educational DVDs or videos that only promise to help a child learn to read, this one really delivers on the promise.
