Young bride another Boyd's beauty
A few years ago, I was given this adorable statue. It's part of the Yesterdays' Child (The Dollstone Collection) made by Boyd's Bears. These are very popular and have become big collector's items.
The statue stands 5" tall and is made of resin. It is item #3508. The name of this item is: Emily with Kathleen & Otis.... The Future
Emily, the young bride is dressed in a beautiful gown with pearls hanging from the back of her hat. The dress is very elaborate with lots of ruffles and lace and she's holding a bouquet of roses in various colors. The flowers are wrapped in a soft, blue flowing ribbon.
Beside the bride is Kathleen, a young girl also in a frilly dress with flowers in her hair and a basket of flowers in one hand. She's holding onto the bride's dress.
The little bear, named Otis is only partially shown, He's behind the bride, holding up the train of her veil. Wearing a blue shirt, he looks to be the bride's helper on her very special day. He's really adorable.
Boyd's makes some fantastic statues and other collectibles. They can be found in just about any nice gift shop.
This figurine was issued in 1996 and retired by Boyd's in 2000.
