IS there anything they dont make?
Yamaha have accomplished good quality among a wide variety of products from motorcycles to pianos. hm...yes but one thing that has especialy stood out from the crowd was theirwide range of drums. Yamaha being, as you may well know, a well known ,trusted music brand, have boomed through the musical scene and have come up with the solution to a wide ranged series of drumkits from beginner to proffesional level, whilst maintaining the high quality that is needed with any kit. I play drums myself and have done for 6 years now and at begginer/amateur levels, from experience with a yamaha kit being my first, yamaha offer a brilliant range of drum kits that suit both the financial and quality needs of any drummer.
Yamaha offers different sizes of kit, according to which style you are looking to play. For drummers like me and play in rock or for you classic drumming needs you have rock size and for jazz style playing you have fusion which are slightly smaller.
With varied types of wooden drum shells from mahogany to birch the drums themselves are built very well, are strong and durable, guaranteed to last even the hardest of hitters. My own kit has lasted all 6 years, faultless and still sound as sweet as they first did. As for the hardware, when buying a kit that comes with cymbal stands included, yamaha make them as sturdy as they come, up there with the likes of mapex. The range of colours and finishes that yamaha offer is not vast, but still offers that flexibility to give you a unique kit, with straight laquers and transparent wood finishes.
Although i think the best thing about the lower range of the yamaha series is the price. For the quality that you get with this area of kit the price is excellent. As you begin to clib up the range into the proffesional range of kits theres is an obvious rise in manufacture and sound quality althought i feel price is still of good value, even in this area of the range.
Although i feel that yamahas are an excellent choice for beginner/amateur drummer, although if your looking for a realy good quality drum kit i recomend another make.
