Shiver me timbers! It lasted the whole year!
I am simply amazed with this backpack. It actually lasted my first grader the entire school year.
For my son, most backpacks only last half the school year and by Christmas break they need to be replaced. He got to choose which backpack he wanted for school this year and he chose the Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End one from Target. The pack is manufactured by Global Design Concepts and is an official Pirates of the Caribbean product complete with official logo on the tag.
The pack is mostly black with the Pirates of the Caribbean skull and crossbones on the front. Below that are the words Disney Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End. On the bottom pocket there is a red dragon and some Chinese writing. The pack has adjustable straps on the back as well as a loop that can be used to hang it or carry it by hand. There is one large middle pocket and one smaller pocket for pens and pencils both of which have zipper closures.
For a first grader he carries lots of stuff to and from school every day. He has an agenda, a large hardbound reading book and smaller regular books as well as additional papers and pencils. He comes home from school and throws it on the floor. In themorning he drags it out the door and to my surprise, it's still in one piece. There are a few small places on the seams that are starting to show wear but other than that, it is in very good shape. I wish all backpacks lasted like this one..
