Idoru by William Gibson
Idoru is William Gibson's second book in his second trilogy, nicknamed "The Bridge" trilogy. I enjoyed this book more than Virtual Light, which is the first book in the trilogy, even though the books only have very small similarities in terms of characters. The story was interesting and unique although it lacked action and the pace was a bit slow at times.
I liked many of the characters in Idoru and felt as if I cared for them more than most of the characters in Virtual Light. Gibson's writing style here is still not as great as it was during his first three books but I still enjoyed it. Some of the technology and sci-fi aspects of the book are interesting.
I'd recommend this book to anyone that has already read Gibson. Similar to Virtual Light, Idoru is not as accessible to people that aren't used to Gibson's style of storytelling. This is a great book but people that aren't fans of sci-fi might not enjoy it.
