Download Accelerator Plus popularly known as DAP is the most widely used free download manager. We can get Download Accelerator Plus in two versions. One is Free version and other is paid version known as DAP Premium. In free version a lot of features are locked. Also Download Accelerator Plus free version has Ads which eats some bandwidth. Hence the download speed you get is definitely less than the speed you get by using DAP premium. DAP Premium has some important features such as using upto ten connections per file you download which is named as "Extreme Acceleration" mode in DAP. In DAP Premium there won't be any Advertisements. I am using DAP premium and I love it. When it comes to free download managers, though Download accelerator plus free version is popular I like Orbit Downloader. Because Orbit downloader does a lot more than DAP. It lets you save streaming videos, music and much more. Also Orbit won't show any Ads. If we compare Orbit and DAP premium both download files at almost the same speed. DAP slightly performs better than Orbit. DAP Premium is not a bad choice. It does what it boasts about.
