Dreamhost Apps is free webhosting for applications such as Wordpress, Drupal, Vbulletin, Zen photo blogs etc. Dreamhost Apps gives unlimited disk space and bandwidth. The webhosting is provided by popular and more reliable paid service of DreamHost. DreamHost a popular web hosting company. Dreamhost apps is another service by Dream Host. DreamHost apps uptime is 100%, speed is awesome. But there are too many drawbacks with DreamHost apps and they are the reason for searching for another webhosting provider. From starting I was greatly interested in free webhosting services and one day I came across DreamHosting apps and I'm really happy to see a free service by a good webhosting company. My happiness didn't last long, because DreamHost apps don't let you use FTP and they don't give you FTP account. I use wordpress and wordpress gives you chance to install plugins and themes directly from dashboard without using FTP. I thought I use that feature, but to my surprise Dreamhost apps locked that feature and also it won't let me modify files like header, footer etc. We can't change themes, we can't use plugins etc. Themes and Plugins are backbone of wordpress and I chose another free host over DreamHost apps. The taught me "You get what you Pay for". It's true.
