Linux Mint is another flavor of Linux operating system. Linux Mint is the most easiest Linux Distro I have ever used. The main advantage aomes with Ubuntu. Because Ubuntu is the most popular Linux platform among Home users and Linux Mint is built on ubuntu. Ubuntu itself is easy and then think of LinuxMint which is built on Ubuntu and makes Ubuntu much more easier. It comes with many essential in-built applications which serve most of our needs and hence there is no need to use other applications. Linux Mint comes with Mplayer, which plays almost every format that is available today. Mplayer also comes with mencoder which is the ultimate command line media converter. You can play dvd's immediately after the installation of Linuxmint. There is no need to download codecs. It comes with openoffice and firefox. So major needs will be met. You can also download applications from their website.It uses Ubuntu deb's and deb packages are widely available today. So you can just download and install them. Apart from these it comes with many applications and games that ease your work. So you can almost get on with LinuxMint instantly without installing othe applications or searching for codecs etc. That's why LinuxMint is called the easiest of all Linux distros that are available today.
