The Rocking Horse Ranch

The rocking horse ranch is a great family destination.located iupstate  in beautiful highland NY.

the ranch has everything you need for a great family adventure. I have 4 kids 13,9,5,3. Their absoult favorite place to go is the rocking horse ranch. Seriously they prefer it over Disny world. We adult enjoy it as well.

There are so may activities to do all day long and they are all well organized by the Rocking Horse ranch staff. OF course their is horse back riding but there is also boating,swimming, indoor fun factory with lots of stuff for the kids like volleyball, ping pong,trampolines, and climing jungle gym thing with balls kids can shoot at each other etc. There is a shooting range where the kids can shoot fake rifles and make stuff light up and move. there is a great playground. Ponyrides, magic shows,sking,banana boating, and my kids favorite lots of contest where all the kid guest play for different prizes! There is also a kids camp for kids 4-12 and a nursery for the younger set. The camp is free and the nursery is for a small additional charge. For the adults there is horseback riding, shows, cocktail hour and a rather nice and convienant bar near the main pool where you can watch the kids play as you have a cocktail.Even when we went on a horrible rainy weekend. All the kid guest played cowboy and indian indoors all day and they had a blast.At night there was a kids comedy show and then a kids disco.
y kids had a blast. We still rode the horse in the rain as well. The store is stocked with ponchos in case it rains. The food is included in the price and there is pently of it! We consider ourselves to be food snobs and we found the food to be pretty delicious as well. The rooms are very big and well kept and the staff at the ranch has always been nice and accomadating! We love the ranch and hope to return soon.
