You light up my life

Before moving to my new place, I never used floodlights. Whenever I've thought of floodlights, I always considered them to be an "outdoor light," so it is kind of interesting that I use them in my bedroom now. In my previous residence, I had a different style of light fixture. In general, I used to use incandescent and those compact, fluorescent, energy-saving, double helix-style light bulbs.

Whenever I bought those energy-savers, they always burned out really, really prematurely. On the packaging, they said they would last a certain amount of time. Yet they never would. I always took them back to the store and got my money back.

In many of the rooms in my house, there are these spotlight-style fixtures on the ceiling. These floodlights are good for inset, track and recessed fixtures, like mine. The light output is 755 lumens. The energy used is 65 watts. The life of the bulb is 2,000 hours. These floodlights give light without glare. I find when I have my four fixtures on in my room, they yield bright yet soft light with no harsh shadows. I have not had a problem with these burning out too quickly.
