No Sharp Darts

Don't laugh-but one day I was walking through a thrift store, and happened to see a dart board. Let me say from the beginning, I know very little about darts. But that day I thought that I might enjoy playing darts as a way to relax. What made this dart board different was the fact that the darts were magnetic. Since I am no expert, that seemed like a safe idea to me.

The board is nothing fancy, but it is adequate. It has a grey foam back and the usual look of a dart board on the front. It came with 6 red darts with magnets on the end. (I understand from the directions that these are referred to as flights and shafts.) The instructions indicated that replacement darts can be obtained at most sports or hobby stores.

The enclosed directions gave the general rules for darts, including how to count the points, as well as instructions for Tournament Darts, and other games such as Round The Clock, All Fives, and Cricket.

Mostly I enjoy throwing the darts for fun, but ocassionally will get my husband to play a game or two. Obviously, this type of dart board is not for the seriously minded, but it would be great in a home where there are children. There is no worry about safety issues.

I am glad that I found the dart board that day as it is a relaxing game to play.
