Magellan RoadMate 1340 GPS

My husband won a Magellan RoadMate 1340 GPS at his work's golf tournament last weekend. It was great beacause we had always wanted to buy one but never got around to it. This would also mean that we didn't need to borrow a GPS for our driving trips.

The Magellan RoadMate 1340 GPS is sooo cute! It is small and can fit your pocket. The screen size is about 3.5 inches. It comes with an adjustable car holder, vehicle power cable, adhesive mounting disk, USB cable and CD-ROM. Some of the other features it has are text-to-speech street name guidance, highway lane assist, multi-destinational routing, AAA Member Raodside Assistance (with AAA membership), millions of point of interest and even highway exit points of interest, any many more! It has a touch-screen favourites menu that allows you to access bookmarks of your favourite places. It comes pre-loaded with maps of the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. There is also a AAA TourBook that provides rating and descriptions of places to stay, play, eat and save. Handy information for those long road trips to Florida! 

We used it locally just get a feel for it. The volume controls are great, it is easy to power on/off and the voice isn't annoying. I can't wait to use it for a longer trip! If you want a cute, small-sized GPS then the Magellan RoadMate 1340 is the one for you!
