Portland Spirit is the Best Way to Celebrate a Special Occasion!

In April, my husband and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary. We didn't want to do any other regular things we always do like stay home and cook dinner or go out to dinner. We wanted to splurge and do something we have never done before. After some research and talking with long time residents of Portland, we decided to spend money for the Portland Spirit Cruise.

This is a cruise that is lasts about 3-4 hours and you have dinner while cruising the Colmbia River. I have never been on a cruise like this before so it was a first time experience for both of us. Although it sounds plain, the cruise only had 2 types of dinners, chicken or lasagna. I had the lasagna and my husband had the chicken. Overall, my lasgna was the best. We order an appetizer before dinner of a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was the biggest I have ver seen and it was so delicious.

As we sailed, they had a piano bar where you could request songs to be played and for those that were celebrating a special occasion, they made them feel special by announcing the special occasion. There were a couple of us with anniversaries and I think 2 with birthdays.

The package we got did not include a the picture they take when you first board but they gave that to us anyway. The crew was also very nice and accomodating. They allowed us to take all the pictures we wanted and offered to take pictures of us as well.

The cost of the cruise was 69.99 a person and overall we had the best time of our lives. It was definitly an anniversary to remember.

  1. We have cruises like this here as well and they are a great way to really enjoy yourself and do something a little out of the norm. Glad you enjoyed your 3rd Anniversary - congratulations!
