The Ojo Video Phone
This product is amazing for deaf people and hearing people alike. The Ojo is a Video Phone that is portable light wieght, and best of all Free! For the deaf at least. The phone is a whopping $349.00 for the 900 verison which isn't as clear as the Ojo 1000 which is $449.00 and honestly it's deffinatly worth the extra $100. But once again this is FREE if you are deaf. You can only get one free video phone per house though.
The Video Phone has a specific phone number for each Ojo just like any regular phone. To call someone you simply type in their phone number. You can call someone else who has an Ojo or someone who has any kind of video phone. That's not all you call though. You can call a regular phone too. When you type in the phone number a Sign Language Intrpiter will show up on the screen. You sign to the intripter and she/he tells it to the person on the other end of the phone. Then when the person talks on the other end of the phone the intripter will sign what he or she said.
The screen is extremly clear and it will almost never freeze up except on ocasions or a stormy day. It actually feels like the person is in the same room as you!
All phones have a monthly charge right? Well not this one. It is completely free to use. Call any one from any where around the world and pay a flat fee of $0.00 a month. And don't forget, if you're deaf you get a free Ojo per house hold! I Defiantly recomend the spectacular Ojo.
